In more than ten years, I have had the opportunity to design some fancy wedding invitations. Fancy details, fancy lettering, fancy liners, crystals, lace - you name it. But it's unique that the word "glamorous" is used around these parts. And this invitation is not only fancy, but glamorous as well. If you follow the happenings of SYP online you saw the 30 shipping boxes with custom beautiful labels that were printed on them, each requiring weighing and postage strips being printed for every individual box. And today, I get to show you what was inside those white shipping boxes.....and here it is! Chelsea Slone and Tyler Brown's glamorous wedding invitation!
Chelsea and Tyler had the privilege of traveling the world for one whole year prior to their wedding, having only been home for a few short months prior to their wedding ceremony. Their wedding is private and quaint with only a handful of their nearest and dearest being invited to participate in this Black Tie celebration at the bride's family home in the hills of Fayetteville, Arkansas. And having traveled to some of the most amazing countries, it seemed only fitting that Chelsea's invitation be presented in a custom-made 100% silk box imported from Thailand.
The tufts and gathers of the lidded ivory silk box presented a gorgeous formal gold and creme invitation in layers and layers of metallic paper. Each invitation was printed in textured gold metallic ink and featured a hand-laid Swarovski crystal for a little extra sparkle and glam.
I have had my hands in every single detail on this invitation suite, and I have looked at it in person and in photographs more times than I can count...and it still takes my breath away. Such a beautiful, timeless, elegant paper lovely that I am so delighted to have had the opportunity to create for the Slone and Brown families.
