Happy Spring Friday! My goodness sake. It was a pretty week here in my corner of Arkansas. Lots of blooms, lots of birds, and lots of fun girlie dresses! I hope your week was great and your coming-weekend even greater! Thanks for visiting me here on InstaFriday! My week chronicled in phone pics starts now!
You know the saying, "A watched pot never boils"? Well this is the case with my pink dogwood. I planted this tree when we built this house four years ago, with giddy anticipation of its blooms in the spring. And it has never. ever. ever. bloomed. I have toiled, researched, fertilized and bugged my daddy over this tree's lack of performance. And look what I have!! A tree full of the most charming pink flowers. It thrills my soul. My poor children have heard me shriek every time we pull into the neighborhood and I lay my eyes on this beauty. i like to think one day when I'm dead and gone, they'll see pink dogwoods and think of my love for them. Or they'll remember that I'm crazy. It could easily go either way...
There are a lot of perks of having a daughter; and wearing the same shoe-size is easily at the top of the list. Amen.
In addition to wedding invitation design and production, the SYP etsy store is just clicking right along. It's so much fun for me! I love the interaction with my shoppers. I love to hear that they are giving one of my products to a best friend or at a shower. And in this case, Suzanne ordered a whole box full of personalized notes, cards, and a stamp with her soon-to-be married name on it all! This personalized maple stamp is one of my favorites. Scallops and loops and swirls, oh my.
I bought 7 of these happy coffee cups from Anthropologie this week in total knee-jerk fashion after seeing my friend Emily post a pic of hers on Facebook. So if you are in my circle of friends with whom I generally exchange gifts.....don't buy one for yourself. Just sayin'.
Last night I was doing some work at the kitchen island - not exerting myself in the slightest - but I was sweating. In the most lady-like manner of course. And as I was going to bed, sweating, I saw this. 76 degrees inside my house. Sam had clicked it up when I wasn't looking much like he clicks down the heat in the winter to a frigid 67 degrees. Mama doesn't like to be hot. And he knows it. It. Is. On.
I'm just going to come right out and say it. Sam and I just got iPhones. I know...take a minute to gawk, make fun of, judge. It's okay. We know we're not cool, and we're perfectly fine with it. We just frankly aren't big spenders....and iPhones are fancy-pants in our book. But Sam finagled in his best finagling way and landed a super deal for us. And here I am showing him the ins and outs of Instagram like I'm a real expert who never accidentally takes pictures of her own feet accidentally.....
Hope you and your feet have a lovely weekend! Hugs and blessings! xo
